It just hit me when I was reading some CraigsList personals: A lot of people complain that they have a date set up and then the person mysteriously doesn't show, even after the initial contacts were all great and enthusiasm was running high. Of course there are all kinds of self-doubts and second thoughts, but I wonder how often it's because the person is a separate-bedder, and when they think of having to go through the argument about it with another person, they think, "Maybe not." Or, it may even be that they turn people down who are interested in them because they'd hate to have that person think they're strange when they find out about the separate-bedding issue.
